Initially, we are very much interested in developing the research proposal in workshops to gain an adequate grant application. Our research institute belongs to Technical University Freiberg, Germany. We focus on information systems (business informatics), an interdisciplinary subject, aiming to close the gap between business and computer science. We have successful experience in research fundings, e.g. we formed a research consortium funded with 2,3 million Euro by the European Social Fund. We have completed various implementations within practice, received external funding, and launched various spin-offs. Based on our projects, we have established a broad network within the utility and financial industry, and are connected with our partners dealing with business reporting standardization, E-Science, and operational Business Intelligence.
